Lens cap on?

My year so far!
Started with some pretty good news! and its just been getting better and better!
I finally got back to taking a few snaps after taking a little bit of time off to get my round a few things..

I have a few new pictures, but todays efforts started rather badly as I was totally confused for about 10 minutes as to why ALL my shots were coming out black!!.. no matter what I did. black! and then i give up, until I turn the camera and low and behold I had left the lens cap on, because I am that good, oops!

On the Santa photos (you'll see) I managed to get the shot I wanted, but then when I was trying to get what wanted with my watch it just didn't quite work.. I managed to get it better.. but still not happy with it, its not bad I don't think for a quick 10 minutes! but please tell me what you think :)

this is the shot I wanted ! I ended up taking about 50 pictures to get this one.. every single one  slightly different but this something I was determined to get!
and I'm rather pleased with it.

This however was not the shot I wanted but for some reason I love it just as much!

At first it was
far to dark

Started to get better...

I got the lighting right in this one but it was to blurry and the picture just isn't right, the blinds and sky are distracting, so I tried a different approach.

This was pretty much the shot I wanted but not entirely I wanted it to be slightly brighter!....

Well these are my efforts for today ! I hope you enjoy these ones!

comments welcome :D

  1. Have you tried turning the shutter speed up and the ISO up aswell?? Have you tried changing the f-stop, to open the apeture more? You'll still get the brighter picture and it will be less blurry?

I don't know how much you know about photography, so I'm sorry if I'm telling you stuff you already know, I took the plunge and bought a second hand camera at new year learnt so much about it already,

The Santa looks good tho :-)
